Hope your Christmas was very merry! After the long wind-up Christmas day itself sure goes by quickly. Our boys had a blast....my house is still a mess!
I'll be stamping like crazy this week to make samples for a Stampin' Sisters team meeting on Thursday. The Occasions Mini Catalog debuts on January 4th--so I'm using lots of yummy new products! That means I'll have lots to share in the days ahead...here's a cute gift tin to get us started:
I thinks it's always so fun to try new ideas with the Stampin' Up! punches. I was looking at the Bitty Bat punch last night and thought it looked like a crown when I turned it upside down. I ran with the idea--and it so happened that one of the new stamp sets (You're a Gem) in the Occasions Mini had the perfect sentiment to go with it!
Here are the simple directions:
Punch a Bat from Brushed Silver (or Brushed Gold) card stock.
Turn it upside down and cut off the bat's head!
Add your gems/rhinestones along the edges...
Put a double layer of Dimensionals in the center of the back of the crown to help it stay curved on the tag.
Put a glue dot on the end of each wing and attach the crown to your project!
I lined the inside of the lid with Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper. I also added a rhinestone to each corner of the tin to tie it all together.
Wouldn't this be the perfect package for a gift certificate to a spa? :-)
Happy Stamping!
All supplies Stampin' Up!
Brilliant Melanie (no diamond puns intended - lol)! Love this idea - thanks for the mini tutorial - Gotta case this as soon as I get my hands on the punch. Much as I love bats I just knew this punch wasn't just for Halloween!
Merry Aftermath - my favorite term for the days after Christmas!
