I received quite a few requests during the Royal Blog Tour for the details on making this elegant frame with the new X-Large Decorative Label punch:
We had to keep our Royal Blog Tour posts short and sweet so I had to wait to post directions for you....
I started with a 3.5"x3.5" piece of paper.
Mark a line vertically and horizontally at 1.75". I did it easily with a pen and my scoring pad. Don't mark all the way to the edge or you will see it after you finish your frame!!
Insert the Decorative Label punch from any side. Have the top "point" touch the spot where the lines cross. The lower point should be on the vertical line. The two "bumps" along the top of the punch should just touch the horizontal line. Punch.
Rotate the cardstock to an adjoining side. Line the punch up exactly as you did the first time. Punch. Rotate and punch once more.
After you have punched three times you will have a thin piece of paper extending into the middle of the frame.
Put the upper point of the punch on the very top of this thin section of paper (and make sure the bottom point is on the vertical line). Punch.
That's all there is to it!
I'll be posting the details about creating a faux turquoise brad next!
All supplies Stampin' Up!
This is amazing ...thank you so much for sharing the directions!!!
