Valentine's 12x12 Scrapbook Layout

 

Was your Valentine's Day super sweet? Maybe you have some pictures to scrapbook?

I made a 12x12 layout without the reds and pinks this year.  Love the not-traditional color combination! 

The left page features a picture frame and a sparkly heart:

The right page has a title/journal box and a fun trim made with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch:

Valentines 2011

Happy Valentine's Day! 

I just packed up the boy's Valentines for school.  We made sweet owl tags for the girls and awesomely cool tags for the boys.  A Jolly Rancher sucker is attached to the back of both.

The boy's tags were created with "My Digital Studio" and printed on photo paper.  I added the "2" cut from Red Glimmer Paper.

The gir's tags used the fun SU Owl Punch.  I made the sentiment with "My Digital Studio".  I used up some retired SU paper and ribbon.

In My Heart Card

Here's a card from my last stampin' class.  If you're in the Nashville area you should join us next month!    I'm also starting a new 12x12 scrapbook class in March--contact me for more info...

I used the "faux embossing" technique for the hearts on the background--that's just punching out a shape and gluing it to cardstock of the same color.  It gives the area some interest without being too busy.

I added that Valentine sparkle with Red Glimmer Paper from the Occasions Mini catalog.  It comes in 12x12 sheets so you can scrapbook with it, too!

Love You Sew Much

 

Yes, Christmas is next week -- but I couldn't resist digging into some of the new products from the upcoming 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog.  Lots of fantastic goodies are just around the corner (available January 4th).

This card uses a super-cute stamp set called "Sew Suite".  There's a whole range of "Sweet Stitches" products to go with this set--DSP paper, rub-ons, buttons, ribbons/trims...

The sewing machine is paper-pieced from Brushed Silver card stock.  I also used the new Red Glimmer paper...awesome bling for the Valentine's projects!  Here's another angle to show the metallic shine:

I made my custom sentiment with My Digital Studio--just can't resist a pun!

With All My Heart 6x6 Layout

My Technique class got snowed out and postponed....but I wanted to share the Valentine's layout before it actually IS Valentine's Day.   :-)

This 6x6 layout uses the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper and a big dose of Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.

The "With All My Heart" stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog works wonderfully with many of the Stampin' Up! punches...see all the images below!

Little Love Bugs Card

These cute little bugs are from the Stampin' Up! Hostess set "Love Bug".  They are perfect for a 4"x4" Valentine's card using my two favorite colors--Old Olive and Chocolate Chip!

Double Heart Basket

I have fun making these heart "baskets" every year.  They are so easy to create and decorate.  I kept it simple using punches and one stamped heart--from the Priceless stamp set.  The Chunky Glitter gives it the bling every Valentine deserves!

           

Here is the opened basket.

Just punch a hole on the middle score line of the left and right hearts....pull the sides together with ribbon and tie!

Love You Much Bundle Card

Valentine's Day is fast approaching! Use the new Love You Much stamp set  to create adorable cards and gifts for your friends and family.  Even though the love birds are the "tweetest", the stamp set includes a "Friend to Friend" greeting so you can change it up to use throughout the year.  Instead of the expected ribbon across the center I added a fun ric rac strip to give the card more of a vintage feel.  And the Chunky Glitter certainly adds some Valentine's sparkle!
