This sweet little snow scene from "Gift Givers" is the perfect stamp to use with the new Stampin' Up! Shaker Frames. The adhesive frames add depth so you can add glitter or beads to make an interactive card.
I used the fun new Dazzling Details glitter glue to add some extra sparkle...

Oh, I am SO ready for fall! Look at these itty bitty pumpkins from the "Gift Givers" stamp set--aren't they the cutest? I stamped them on Cajun Craze card stock and cut them out---then glued them onto the stamped image on Very Vanilla card stock.
I put this card together using the black card stock background embossed with the "Spider Web" folder....but it looked so bland. Then I thought of the new "Dazzling Details" glitter glue---wowza! Tracing over the web with the glue totally changed the card.

We made one more "summer-ish" scrapbook layout at my class Thursday night. The fun colors of the Big Top Birthday Designer Series paper could work for lots of occasions. It's difficult to see the sparkle of the Red Glimmer paper--it really adds a punch to this happy layout!
I made the banner with the SU Petite Pennants Builder Punch. How fun!

It's time to start showing you some of the projects I've made with products from the new 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog.
The first time I flipped through the catalog I knew I would have to own the "Gift Givers" stamp set. It has a stamp for all the upcoming holidays--and they all coordinate with Stampin' Up! punches!
I used the new "Stocking Builder" Punch to punch out the stamped stocking. Then I paper-pieced the details onto it. You might notice there is some sparkle on the stocking--that's the new "Dazzling Detail" Glitter Glue. I love the tiny tip on the bottle that lets you control where the glue goes--just perfect (and only $2.50)!
The other new products that I used on this card are the "Mini Jingle Bells" and the fabulous new "Simply Scored" Scoring Tool.
Isn't that little reindeer adorable??

Do you have a handy hubby? I sure do! I'm always amazed at the things he can fix. I thought this card would be a great way to let him know how much I appreciate all he does around here...
I used the hammer and nails stamp from the "Every Little Bit" set. But it doesn't have to stay little--I enlarged the stamped image to create a template for the big hammer.
There's a lot of dimension on this card--did you notice the strip of recycled corrugated cardboard on it?
I stamped the nails from the hammer and nail image inside the O in WOW by masking the surrounding area.

I adored the "Forever Young" stamp set the minute I saw it in the new Idea Book & Catalog...so much that I had to use it before I even ordered it! How did I do that? I got online and downloaded the My Digital Studio file for "Forever Young"! In just a few minutes I was printing out this super-sized version of the tree stamp to use on my card!
The background was so easy. I used a brayer to apply a quick (uneven) layer of Bashful Blue Classic Ink over the whole image. Then I sponged the edges with Old Olive or Marina Mist Classic Ink. The final step was adding the "A to Z" stamp in Marina Mist.
It turned out exactly the way I planned...:-)

Hmmm...maybe it's the break in the weather that has me thinking about Christmas? It was a brisk 66 degrees this morning and Joey was whining that he was cold!
This card is an advance look at the "Christmas Lodge" stamp set that is in the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog (Sept 1st- Jan 3rd). The card is actually all Basic Gray and Whisper White--it looks like black ink on the computer. I added trees from "Lovely as a Tree" on either side of the lodge--they are the perfect size!
The 12"x12" Silver Glimmer Paper is also a sneak peek--so sparkly!
I've been busy creating cards for the Stampin' Sisters meeting tomorrow so I have lots of projects to show you....stay tuned! :-)
I've really enjoyed working with the Nautical Expedition Collection from the Summer Mini Catalog. Having all these coordinating "masculine" products is wonderful since I have two boys!
I originally created this card for a graduate, but I think it has a wonderful message of encouragement that could work for so many occasions!

I've had a whole box of Stampin' Up! goodies from the new catalog waiting for me....but I've been working on a birthday party for a special boy...Joey's 7th!
The party stores didn't have much to offer for a Super Mario party so I scoured the internet for ideas.
I made these great fun-foam mustaches for all 10 guests and we took a picture of each of them dressed like Mario...
Then they got to spend some time in the pool.
We played games (Mario Says, Ring Toss, etc) and they all earned "Mario coins" that they used to buy prizes:
I decorated the cake and it was a huge struggle--just did not go how I planned. But in the end I liked it and as you can see from the first picture--so did Joey!
My favorite part of the party was when Joey opened a gift from my cousin. It was a Nintendo DS game but she wrapped it about 5 times in different containers (bubble wrap envie, tupperware, cereal box, gift bag..). The kids thought it was HILARIOUS each time he unwrapped a layer only to find another...
The kids all got a Wii Klik Candy Dispenser like the ones from our Despicable Me Party (plus all the prizes they "bought") for the goodie bags.
It was a really fun party. :-)
Tomorrow is our first day of school....maybe now I can get back to stampin'!

I found this cute punch art frog at Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie. I thought he would look great on a scrapbook page! These bright summer colors (Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue and Pacific Point) just make me smile.
The other page features a flower made from the Flower Folds Bigz Die.
