Thank you so much if you visited my during the LNS Royal Blog Tour! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did--there were so many beautiful projects with new Stampin' Up! products. I was so flattered by all the nice comments about my art--ya'll are too sweet! I promised you more info about my projects after the tour was over...you'll find the details and supply lists below!
I'll announce the winner of my Royal Tour Blog Candy by the end of the day! Stay tuned...
Hello--I'm Melany Watson from the Nashville, TN area. I'm thrilled to be sharing my projects created with the new Stampin' Up! stamp set "For All You Do" with you. This elegant and versatile set works well for many occasions--and with a variety of techniques. I'm sure that's why it's the featured stamp set in the current SU Mini Starter Kit.
I'll admit pastels are not my thing. I have two boys so it's no surprise that in a house full of men I don't have many "girly" things. That's probably why I didn't give the "Tea Party" Designer Series Paper much attention in the last catalog. Well... tea party makes me think of flowers and butterflies and lace and pearls. And what a coincidence--"For All You Do" has butterflies and flowers! And here's what happened when I put them together....

BUTTERFLY CARD SUPPLY LIST
This card has lots of details! I loved using the "polka dot square" stamp on the flowers after I cut them out. Polka dots are so girly! I used the same stamp with Pretty In Pink ink in a random, overlapping pattern to create an interesting pattern on the white background. The flower at the top of the card is just white cardstock sponged with Pretty In Pink and Barely Banana ink. I reach for my SU Little Leaves Sizzlit Die so often! It's such a great finishing touch.
Using Old Olive and Soft Suede is more my style! The focal stamp is covered with a glittery embossing powder.
SWEET OVAL CARD SUPPLY LIST
I've got a secret to share. Trying to color in the little flowers on the focal stamp was no fun...so I decided to clear heat emboss it. Then I just took my blender pen (or aqua painter), dipped it in some Melon Mambo ink and went to town. No worries about staying in the lines!! Then I took my Versamark pad, inked over the whole image, and heat embossed again with Iridescent Ice. Oooh...sparkly! I also tried it with Glassy Glaze instead of the Iridescent Ice. That got a thumbs up, too! Remember, just because the stamped image is a square doesn't mean it shoud remain a square--I punched it with the Scallop Square punch after I embossed it! Or you could use the Designer Label Punch (next project)...or a circle! Have fun with it...
And here's an adorable gift box for you...
FOR ALL YOU DO GIFT BOX SUPPLY LIST
FOR ALL YOU DO GIFT BOX PATTERN
I really like the texture the new SU Perfect Details Texturz Plate gave this tiny gift box. You will have to cut the sides separate from the front/back of the box to fit through the Big Shot. Just be sure to add a tab to the bottom of the sides when you cut them out so you can attach them again! The pattern says to enlarge it--I printed it just as it is.
Did you know you could color coordinate the flower slides from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit? It's so easy. Just put a drop of classic ink refill (I used Old Olive here) on a piece of plastic. Add a few drops of Crystal Effects and mix it well with a toothpick. Pick up a drop of the mixture with the toothpick and carefully touch it inside the edges of the flower slide. It will spread out easily. Repeat the process! How cool is that? I've tried this mixing the SU fine glitters with Crystal Effects and that looks cool, too!
The "Thank You" tag is just the Modern Label Punch layered on itself.
